Question for Pro-Choice Feminists

You may or may not be aware of the political battle being fought right now by Feminist and pro-choice Barbra Boxer and pro-life Carly Fiorina. These two women are battling for the California seat in the Senate.

In a recent post or email (I'm not sure which), EMILY's List - a pro-abortion organization that is supporting Boxer - stated:

When it comes to our issues -- from women's rights to the environment to health care -- Barbara has been at the forefront of change since we helped elect her in 1992, the "Year of the Woman." She's been there for us every step of the way, and now it's our chance to return the favor.

Thanks for all you're doing to help our women fight back and continue making change.

Stop.

Here is my question to all feminists and Barbra Boxer: You say you fight for the woman...have you ever given any thought to the little unborn woman? Think of all the thousands of little women that you could support. What about them? If you love and support the female sex as much as you claim to, why don't you try to defend it instead of destroy it?!

The ignorance and arrogance of these feminists just infuriates and blows my mind away. I guess you have to be a Survivor '73 in order to be worth defending in our society.

Remember: Patriotism defends life.

An Outrage!!!

I can't beleive it! I just can't beleive it!.......okay, I can beleive it. :P Read this email and please participate!

Like many of you, we received the news last Friday that President Barack Obama will deliver the commencement address at the University of Notre Dame this May.

In addition to delivering the address, the President will receive an honorary doctor of laws degree. In short, one of our nation’s premier Catholic institutions will honor the President, and hold out him as an example to its students as someone worthy of emulation!

Given President Obama’s utterly shameful record on life, how could a Catholic university honor him?

The University could have politely and quietly told the White House that their standing invitation to the President of the United States was not available this year. Better yet, they could have said that while they would welcome his contributions to the public debate over how to solve our economic crisis, his regrettable policies in favor of a culture of death make it impossible for them to welcome him.

Notre Dame has regrettably hosted pro-abortion speakers in the past, but President Obama is a champion of the abortion cause. Sadly, it is now indisputable that our President has become the world’s leading promoter of abortion, embryo-killing cloning and research, taxpayer-funded abortion, and a vigorous opponent of conscience protections for medical professionals. His campaign promises to find ‘common ground’ have sadly been ignored, or perhaps were simply lies. And this Administration has only just begun.

Is there anything a president could do that would disqualify him or her from delivering such a prestigious address?

If there is such a threshold, Barack Obama has not disqualified himself with Notre Dame officials.

And so we must act.

We have spoken with professors, students, and leaders at Notre Dame over the past 48 hours and have concluded that a massive protest will be practically difficult, and even counterproductive. The University has a right as a private school to prevent all protestors from entering campus, and could legally arrest those who violate this rule. Secondly, a protest could create exactly the wrong impression.

Therefore, we are recommending four courses of action.

1) CatholicVote.org has partnered with the Cardinal Newman Society, a dynamic organization dedicated to the renewal of Catholic higher education in establishing www.NotreDameScandal.com. Together our aim is to collect thousands of signatures and present them to University officials. Sign the petition now.

2) Contact Notre Dame and charitably express your outrage. CatholicVote.org is large enough to have a major impact, and we urge you to contact Notre Dame President Father Jenkins at (574) 631-5000.

3) Join your fellow CatholicVote.org members in a prayer of reparation on May 17 from 2-4 PM. We encourage you to organize local groups to pray for mercy for the decision by Notre Dame, but also for our nation for continuing to permit the tragedy of abortion.
***If you live in the Midwest, or near Notre Dame University, we invite you to personally join us in prayer at the Grotto on the campus of Notre Dame from 2-4 PM on May 17, where we will be joined by several Notre Dame professors, alumni, and current students. The gathering will be a peaceful and prayerful.

4) Please forward this message to your family and friends. Let them know about Notre Dame's decision to honor the most pro-abortion President in American history. We must not remain silent over this scandal!

Sincerely,
Brian Burch, President
CatholicVote.org

Is that awful or what? One of my mom's dreams was to go to a Notre Dame Football game, after reading this email that dream went up in smoke......a smoke of rage!

Obama seeks to take away religious rights of doctors and health care providers who refuse to perform abortions

Here is another one! Please help and do your part!

Urgent: send your e-mail to the White House today!
March 3, 2009
Dear Michael,
According to several news agencies, President Barack Obama will rescind the "conscience rule" that protects health workers who refuse to participate in abortions or other medical procedures that go against their moral and religious beliefs. If the rule is rescinded, doctors, nurses and other health care workers could lose their jobs or be punished professionally for adhering to their sincerely held religious convictions. Obama's proposal would take away their religious freedom.

The current rule empowers federal health officials to cut off federal funding for any state or local government, hospital, clinic, health plan, doctor's office or other entity if it does not accommodate employees who exercise their right of conscience. It applies to more than 584,000 health care facilities.

The Obama administration is doing the bidding of pro-abortion advocacy groups who seek to penalize health care providers who refuse to participate in abortions.

According to The Washington Post, Obama administration officials stressed that the proposal will be subject to 30 days of public comment. That is why it is so very important for you to let the White House hear from you today.

Take Action!
Send your e-mail to President Obama opposing his plan to rescind the "conscience rule."

Forward this to family and friends and ask them to do the same.
Thank you for caring enough to get involved. If you feel our efforts are worthy of support, would you
consider making a small tax-deductible contribution to help us continue?
Sincerely,

Donald E. Wildmon,
Founder and Chairman
American Family Association

Please help us get this information into the hands of as many people as possible by forwarding it to your entire e-mail list of family and friends.

This is my 100th post!!!! YEEEES!!!! I was going to do a special post for my 100th post, but I think I like having something somewhat pro-life for that. :) *goes off to party*

Storm Heaven with your prayers!!

I recieved this email today:

Hi Everyone - Thanks for your time. I have an urgent request for prayer for a young lady by the name of Hannah. Long Story short...God put her in my life the last two weeks through her calling my cell number by mistake. She is a 20 year old sophomore @ GVSU who is pregnant, 6 weeks along. I have talked w/ her many times about adoption, her relationship w/ the Lord (which is non-existent) and her future. She is so self absorbed. She had an ultrasound yesterday, and even though she saw the heartbeat and the baby this early, she told me last night she scheduled an abortion for Saturday. She has so many influences in her life telling her abortion is no big deal and she sees it as a fix to the mess she has made of her life. Please storm the gates of Heaven w/ me through our prayers so that the gates of hell that have a hold of her will be broken and that this little life will be saved. The Lord has a purpose for all that has happened and I know Hannah's life will be changed no matter what she decides. Please pray for me for wisdom as I talk with her this week. Thanks! Please forward to anyone you know who will pray with us!!!!!!

Let us pray for Hannah and her baby, that God would show her the way!!!!!! The abortion is scheduled for the 17th. I wish she would watch "Bella"......I feel sure that would change her decision.

Hehe! Hannah has no idea how many people are praying for her and her baby!

BABIES UNDER ATTACK!!!

Dear Readers,
This an important and critical issue, and we need to do something!!! Read this:

SUBJECT:
Request for novena/prayers to stop FOCA Dear family and/or friends - please consider joining the effort below. (even if only ONE of these were true it would be worth the effort.)

EXPLANATION:
For those of you who do not know, the Freedom of Choice Act (FOCA) [also know as freedom to kill act] is set to be signed if congress passes it on January 21-22 of 2009. The FOCA is the next sad chapter in the book of abortion. If made a law, virtually all limitations on abortion will be lifted, which will result in the following:

1) All hospitals, including Catholic hospitals would be required to perform abortions upon request. If this were to happen, some U.S. Bishops have indicated they would consider closing down Catholic hospitals rather than perform abortions - more than 30% of all hospitals in the United States are Catholic.

2) Partial birth abortions would be legal and have no limitations.

3) All U.S. tax payers would be funding abortions.

4) Parental notification will no longer be required.

5) The number of abortions could increase by as much as 100,000 annually.

Perhaps most importantly the government would then have control in the issue of abortion. This could result in a future amendment that would force women by law to have abortions in certain situations (down syndrome babies, etc) and could even regulate how many children a woman is allowed to have.

As Catholics, as Christians, as anyone who is against the killing of innocent children, we must stand as one. We must stop this horrific act before it becomes a law.

THE PLAN:
To say a novena (nine days of prayer ) along with fasting, starting on January 11th. For Catholics, the prayer of choice will be the rosary with intentions to stop the FOCA. For non Catholics, I would ask that you pray your strongest prayers with the same intentions, also for 9 consecutive days. The hope is that this will branch and blossom as to become a global effort with maximum impact. We have very little time so we all must act fast.
Just do three things:

1) Forward this letter

2) Do it in soon

3) Start the novena on January 11th and pray for nine consecutive days.

(Please also consider fasting for at least two days during the novena)

Remember that with God all things are possible and the power of prayer is undeniable. If you are against the killing of defenseless children then the time is now to do something about it!

Lord, may everything we do begin with Your inspiration and continue with Your help,so that all our prayers and works may begin in You and by You be happily ended. We ask this through Christ our Lord.

I beg everyone that reads this to please take part! This may be our last chance to actually do something for the innocent of the United States of America! Let's make the nation's leaders see that we mean business!

Universal Declaration of Human Rights petition needs signing

Please participate; this will affect you future, and your children's future! This only takes a minute to make a difference for the unborn.

On December 10th, pro-abortion groups will present petitions asking the United Nation's General Assembly to make abortion a universally recognized human right. The Catholic Family and Human Rights Institute created an alternate petition drive that calls for government to interpret the Universal Declaration of Human Rights as protecting the unborn child from abortion. They need at least 100,000 signatures by December 10th, the 60th Anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. Please go to the Website:http://www.c-fam.org/publications/id.95/default.asp and sign the petition. If you know anyone that would be interested in doing the same you are welcome to forward this on to whomever.

Please Participate

Please take the time to look and participate in this. It is a threat to human life and we should do all that we can to make sure it doesn't happen. This was sent to us through a yahoo group we belong to.

Friends & family,
Raymond Arroyo on EWTN "World Over Live" has asked that we sign a petition addressed to the President of the Philippines and their House of Representatives. In 2 weeks they are voting on a bill (like in China) toward a TWO CHILD per family law. If this bill is signed, anyone, including priests, teachers, health care workers who protest it are subject to a heavy fine and six months in jail. Signatures from the USA count. Our tax payer money helps support this program. AMAZING The bill is backed by Planned Parenthood- a group in the UN and one other. To sign:

#2 Link to the first listed 'Filipino Family Fund'
#3. On the left side - link to 'Sign the Petition' How long will it be before we are fighting this in our country.

God bless,

Vicki
