I was thinking...

Claire over at Lily Maiden is doing a Week in Feminine Dress, which I absolutely love; however, I tend to wear very – and I mean very – casual clothes all week. For example my daily outfit consists of my long denim skirt, my one and only pair of jeans, or my sweat pants, combined with a sweatshirt to accompany it. So, I wouldn’t really be fully participating in the “feminine” part of the week.

Yet, Claire – unknowingly – gave me the idea to hold a hold a brand new type of week: Week in Feminine Hair Styles. :D I love hair, and I love finding new styles; so, I thought this would be the perfect opportunity to inspire and learn from each other in the area of hair. ;)

What: Week in Feminine Hair Styles

When: February 7-13

Where: On your blog!

How: Every day starting next Monday, post a picture of how you are wearing your hair for the day – OR – you can do like I’m doing and start taking pictures of your hair in different styles, and then post one every day next week.

Also, leave a comment letting me know if you are going to participate, and the day before the WFHS, I will post the links to everyone’s blogs.

In addition, I'll post some pictures that you can post on your blog to show that you are participating in the WFHS. If you would, please attach the link for this post to the picture.

Why: To promote femininity in a revolutionized way: through hair! ;)

How exciting! I won't be able to participate really, but I'd love to see all the pictures. Unfortunately... I know about... 2? feminine hair styles. :) I've actually been wondering lately about feminine ways to do my hair. I can't wait to see pictures of participants!

Ooh! I'll do it!

I'll give it a try! My hair is only a little past shoulder length, so it may be a challenge to come up with 7 different styles, but I'll see what I can do!

I would love to but my pictures would all be the same because I wear my snood every day. However on Monday or Tuesday I will try and post a picture of me in my snood.

Vicki, this sounds like a neat idea! Of course, it would be even better if a couple of feminine outfits (to match the hair) were thrown in here and there. ;)

I might have to point everyone to this week, if I don't have the time for another week of pictures...but we'll see.

Oh, and you could totally do a week in casual skirts...I think you should try it sometime! ("Feminine" doesn't necessarily have to mean "dressy", althought it often can be.) Maybe go on a quest to get one or two more casual skirts (corderoy or khaki, perhaps?) to add to your denim one, and with 2 or 3 skirts total see how many casual outfit combinations you can make! :) Just an idea...

P.S. I like your new profile pic! :)

P.P.S. I'm honored to be on your "offical banner" for the new themed-week. :)

I love this idea! I won't be participating via my blog but I will watch everyone else's post, and trying out myself.

Love in Christ,

I'd love to participate deary. But recently I chopped off most of my hair to a very short style, ultra cute but not quite the feminine look you are going for. Love ya

I will do my best to participate... it might not always be my hair featured, because I've gotten some great photos of things I've done on other young ladies and this would be a good time to share them.

Yikes, after a week of feminine dress and another of hair, any gentlemen who visit my blog are going to be scared off! ;)
