My second award!!!

Trina, received the award and posted, "OK, how's this, if you are a Catholic blogger reading this post, you can have the award. OK? OK." So, since I am a Catholic, and periodically post Catholic things, I took the liberty of accepting the award! *big grin* I am not sure, but I believe Lady Rose gave me the award as well....*shrugs shoulders*.
So, here it is!
And I am going to copy Trina because I am being lazy right now. :P
And the Rules:

1) Accept the award, post it on your blog together with the name of the person that has granted the award and his or her blog link.
2) Pass the award to 15 other blogs that are worthy of this acknowledgment.
3) Remember to contact each of them to let them know they have been chosen for this award.
Ugh, I have to think of 15? I don't even know that many blogs!! :P

OK, how's this, if you are a Catholic blogger reading this post, you can have the award. OK? OK.

Lord of the Rings Makeover

To all LOTR friends who have been striving to get me to read the books,
I am going to try to read the books. Yes, I have finally decided to start reading the Fellowship (from the beginning) and see how I like it. I will admit that I am (and have been) taken with the Elves for quite some time and when I took the Character quiz I found that I really am at heart! Whoop!!! Three times I was Legolas, and once I was Eowyn.

In the meantime, I have decided that it was time to refresh this blog with a new look. So, What do you guys think of my blogs new look? Please leave a comment and let me know!!!! Oh! And the title is my name in Elf. *grin*

Wow....

.....this is scarily accurate!

Your Hair Should Be Red

You are a passionate person... both in love and in life.

You have many causes that are important to you. You can be very intense.

You are very fiery. You speak up, and you don't mince words.

You also have a very flamboyant personality. You love to show off.

You are both eccentric and expressive. You like to share your unique point of view.

You can become quite impassioned. So impassioned that you can seem a little overbearing.

What Color Hair Should You Have?

You Should Drive a Blue Car

You're the type of driver who isn't hung up on the what car you drive.

You don't need a flashy car to show off your wealth or style.

Instead, you go for value and reliability. You're quite practical.

You're a great driver, but you don't show off. Part of your skill is not standing out on the road.

You Are the Bow Pose

You are an open hearted person. You seek connections and make them easily.

You are naturally generous - especially with your love and your time.

You have a knack for thinking up interesting ideas. You are an inventor and a creator.

You approach everything in life with a relaxed attitude. You accept what you can't change.

Prayers for Ashley

We got a phone call last night that my cousin's best friend had died. Her name is Ashely, and she would have been 18 in December. She was found dead in her bed Sunday morning. We don't know the cause of her death, but please pray for her soul and her family (who now only have one son left). Thank you.

Universal Declaration of Human Rights petition needs signing

Please participate; this will affect you future, and your children's future! This only takes a minute to make a difference for the unborn.

On December 10th, pro-abortion groups will present petitions asking the United Nation's General Assembly to make abortion a universally recognized human right. The Catholic Family and Human Rights Institute created an alternate petition drive that calls for government to interpret the Universal Declaration of Human Rights as protecting the unborn child from abortion. They need at least 100,000 signatures by December 10th, the 60th Anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. Please go to the Website:http://www.c-fam.org/publications/id.95/default.asp and sign the petition. If you know anyone that would be interested in doing the same you are welcome to forward this on to whomever.
"A nation that aborts its own children is a nation without hope." -- Pope John Paul II

Today:

I went to my first play in Michigan!!!! It was awesome! The title: "The Rose of Treason".

The Rose of Treason, a true story on the lives of Hans and Sophie Scholl is one of breathtaking courage, selflessness, and utter faith in what is right. The White Rose was a non-violent resistance movement in Nazi Germany which called for active opposition to dictator Adolph Hitler's regime. The group became known for an anonymous leaflet campaign, lasting from June 1942 until February 1943. The six core members of the group were arrested by the Gestapo and convicted of treason. Today, the members of the White Rose are honored in Germany as great heroes. This drama is an inspiring tribute to the goodness of humanity shining even in the darkest moments of history.

And darn it, I forgot to bring a camera! *hides in shame* It was performed by Homeschool Performing Arts (HPA) and it was cool because the actors' facial appearances resembled the real people!

Here is something sent to my family today. I love this clip!!!! Unfortunately I don't know how to post the video. *hits the computer* So here is the link: http://www.simpletruths.com/simpletruths/a.aspx?af=219&mo=stsr
