My Love Life

For those of you who don’t know, I am courting. Yes, I have been courting since this last Sunday, and it is so exciting! Tonight, I am going out on my first official date, too. However, I have known my beau since about…forever. He has always been there for me and never deserted. He is perfect in every sense of the word. Would you like to know who He is? His name is Jesus Christ. :) Yes, Jesus and I are courting; or to put it more seriously, I am discerning the religious life. And as I said, I am going out on my first official date tonight = I am going to Mass. I have never been so eager to attend Mass before. :)

Imagine, I may possibly be being called to marry the Son of God! How beautiful and awesome is that? I am so at peace with this discernment. I love Jesus, and I feel as if I am growing more in love with Him everyday. I feel that I am very possibly called to join the Dominican Sisters of Mary Mother of the Holy Eucharist in Ann Arbor, Michigan. Check out their website, it is very cool.

Although I may not be called to become a sister, I know that God will lead me to where I will be happiest. If he wants me to get married to someone else, he will bring that man into my life. Until that time, though, I am very happy to be where I am.

God bless you all!

How exciting! =) At first I thought you were 'courting' a guy (on earth, of course, not Jesus ;)) But then when you said you're discerning a religious vocation I was like, "Woohoo, that's so great!" Wait. Now I sound like I'm putting down dating guys. I'm sure you understand what I'm trying to say, haha. I mean to say I'm happy that you're trying to find God's will for you =) yay! I'll be praying for you!

Dear Vicki,
I know I have already said this to you but I wanted to say it again...I am so happy for you! Happy that you have found a path; happy that you are filled with peace and joy. Continue to grow in love with Christ, Vicki, and become lost in His heart.

Have a great time on your date! ;)

Love you, sis!

That's so cool, Vicki! :)

Since June, which is basically when I began to feel the need to discern my vocation, I've loved going to Mass, even more than I did in the past. I like how you refer to it as a date with Jesus! :) I'm so excited for you as you discern your vocation!

Wouldn't it be awesome if we both entered the congregation at Ann Arbor?! Haha! It would be sooo cool. :) I'm kind of jumping ahead of myself there.

I'll be praying for you!

With prayers and love,
~Cousin Rose~

The Church especially needs the gifts of young people, all young people. She needs to grow in the power of the Spirit who even now gives joy to your youth and inspires you to serve the Lord with gladness. Open your hearts to that power! I address this plea in a special way to those of you whom the Lord is calling to the priesthood and the consecrated life. Do not be afraid to say “yes” to Jesus, to find your joy in doing His will, giving yourself completely to the pursuit of holiness, and using all your talents in the service of others!
